Beauty and Young Boy Pillar Print

Comments - Beautiful pillar print design by Shuncho of a beauty enjoying an afternoon stroll, accompanied by a young boy. She wears a sheer black silk outer robe over a red patterned kimono, the design just visible through the gauzy summer fabric. Her obi features an intricate pattern of scrolling leaves, and she carries an umbrella. A pine branch and delicate wisteria vines frame the scene at upper right. A lovely, classic Edo era design. A terrific old reprint that appears original.

Artist - Shuncho (active circa 1780 - 1795)

Image Size - 25 1/2" x 6 1/4"

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Backed with paper. Toning and creasing, slight soiling, a few spots. Please note: due to the size, this print may be shipped rolled. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
