Mother Bouncing Her Baby

Comments - Charming scene of a mother bouncing her baby, lifting him gently in the air as the smiling child reaches for her face. The beauty wears a light blue and gray kimono with an overlapping wave pattern, tied with a blue violet obi with colorful medallions. An uchiwa or rigid fan lies on the floor beside her, and a screen frames the view at right. A delightful image.

Artist - Utamaro (1750 - 1806)

Image Size - 14 5/8" x 9 1/2"

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Slight toning and soiling, a few small spots, a few creases at edges. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
