Beauty with a Poem Slip Kakemono by Kuniyoshi (1797 - 1861)

Original Kuniyoshi (1797 - 1861) Japanese Woodblock Print
Beauty with a Poem Slip Kakemono

Comments - Terrific Kuniyoshi kakemono or vertical diptych of a beauty attaching a poem slip to a cherry tree. She smiles as she holds the verse up to the flowering branch covered with delicate pink and white blossoms. She wears a blue and white patterned kimono edged in red, tied with a green floral obi. A lovely spring subject that would make an attractive framed presentation.

Artist - Kuniyoshi (1797 - 1861)

Image Size - 28" x 9 3/4" + top margin as shown

Condition - This print with good color and excellent detail as shown. Two attached panels. Slight paper remnants at edges. Slight toning and soiling, a few spots and creases. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
