The New Fields of Ono in Suruga Province - Wonderful early morning view of the new rice fields in Ono, with mist rising above the water and a few birds taking flight. In the foreground, farmers lead oxen piled with loads of reeds, a couple of men at left carrying smaller bundles on their backs. Clouds drift past the base of Mt. Fuji in the distance above the deep green hillsides. A charming subject from daily life, nicely detailed.
