Celebrated Places of Edo Enclosed in the Outline Character Ju

A Fine Tokyo Reprint Collection

Celebrated Places of Edo Enclosed in the Outline Character Ju - Fascinating image of famous places in Edo depicted within the outlines of the kanji character "Ju." Subjects include street scenes, a temple entrance gate with guardian figures, a bridge over a river with boat traffic, and large Buddhist deity. The print is detailed with metallic gold flecks. A terrific design from the early years of hand-colored prints. We've only seen this subject once before in reprint.

Image Size - 12 7/8" x 6 1/4"

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. A couple small spots. Please see photos for details. Nice overall.
