Yoshitoshi (1839 - 1892) Japanese Woodblock Reprint
Beauty on a Verandah in Spring

Comments - Charming portrait of a beauty walking along the upper story verandah of a teahouse. She looks over her shoulder with a slightly worried expression, holding her sleeves to her chest. She wears a red and white tie-dyed kimono bordered with a wide band of blue and black checked fabric, her red under robe visible above her foot. The courtyard garden is filled with blossoming pink cherry trees, and two birds swoop across the evening sky at left. A rarely seen reprint, published by Kokkosha Printing Company of Tokyo.

Artist - Yoshitoshi (1839 - 1892)

Image Size - 14 1/8" x 10"

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Slight paper remnant on reverse at top corners from previous mounting. Horizontal centerfold. A few creases, a couple small spots. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
