Utamaro (1750 - 1806) Japanese Woodblock Reprint
On Top of Ryogoku Bridge

Comments - Terrific scene of beauties on top of the Ryogoku bridge enjoying the cool of the Sumida River in Edo. At right, a beauty leans over the railing while her companion fans herself. In the center, a mother holds a squirming baby with a rattle in his hand, the child reaching for a young girl as she points to something below. A lovely design with soft color and fine detail. A classic Utamaro beauty subject.

Artist - Utamaro (1750 - 1806)

Image Size - 14 1/2" x 29 1/8" + margins as shown

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Three separate panels. A few small holes, repaired. Slight toning and creasing, a few small spots, stain. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
